Today I want talk about stations. I ❤️ them. Keeps little hands busy and focused. Currently I have 5 stations for my 4 year old & soon to be 2 year old. Our stations are in our patio.

Station 1️⃣: Cardboards Blocks – These were gifted to me by a dear friend, so I’m unsure of the brand. Nonetheless, these are TONS of fun. They’re SO many different ways to configure them. The most loved in my household is making a tower and then kicking it like a ninja!

Station 2️⃣: Puzzle – Currently I have the Melissa & Doug Sea Life Wooden Chunky Puzzle (7 pieces). With this station, it stays at the table. I’m working on tweaking this station to make it more engaging. Like adding an underwater habitat for them to use the wooden marine animals to play with. Always thinking.:)

Station 3️⃣: Toy Bin – This is a collection of toys that I’ve placed for them to explore. Here you’d find cars, wooden pull toys, a plethora of balls, and MORE. This bin is one frequently visited because it has different things to engage with.

Station 4️⃣: Ramp + Toy Cars – I placed this in a toddler & older child level…so both my kids can use it when it’s their time. The ramp and cars provide for entertainment, especially because the different routes.

Station 5️⃣: Duplos – LOVE, LOVE, LOVE DUPLOS. Both my kids love to use them. My 4 year old son enjoys making homes for his cars or characters he finds in the toy bin. My soon to be 2 year old daughter loves to walk around with them and find places to stuff them in.

💭I love having stations for my kids because it provides a space for them to go and play. It’s a perfect #invitationtoplay setup. These stations are semi-permanent. I change them by gauging my children’s engagement & interest.

👩🏻‍🏫How I do it ➡️ I model each station for my children. Then we go over rules such as sharing, keeping toys out of our mouths (rule more for my littlest, but reminding everyone helps us all keep an eye on her) and how to ask for help. As you know, not every station is used, but it’s there and eventually they will get to it. Working in stations takes time to learn and lots of practice.

💬Question for you 🙂 Do you have stations? What kind of stations do you have setup? 🔆If you don’t have them, I recommend starting with a few stations and growing from there. They love it! You will too:)

💠My biggest takeaway from stations is knowing I have a designated space and setup for them to do. They’re working and I get a break, join in the fun (which I normally do), or accomplish my tasks.

ESTACIONES 🏗

ESTACIONES – Mantener a los niños entretenidos y aprender con las oportunidades de aprendizaje de configuración.
Hoy quiero hablar de las estaciones. Yo ❤️ ellos. Mantiene las pequeñas manos ocupadas y enfocadas. Actualmente tengo 5 estaciones para mi hijo de 4 años y pronto seré 2 años. Nuestras estaciones están en nuestro patio.

Estación 11️⃣: bloques de cartón: me los regaló un querido amigo, así que no estoy seguro de la marca. Sin embargo, estas son TONELADAS de diversión. Son tantas maneras diferentes de configurarlos. ¡El más querido en mi hogar es hacer una torre y luego patearla como un ninja!
Estación 2️⃣: Rompecabezas – Actualmente tengo el puzzle grueso de madera Melissa & Doug Sea Life (7 piezas). Con esta estación, se queda en la mesa. Estoy trabajando para ajustar esta estación para que sea más interesante. Como agregar un hábitat submarino para que usen los animales marinos de madera para jugar. Siempre pensando.:)
Station 3️⃣: Toy Bin – Esta es una colección de juguetes que he colocado para que exploren. Aquí encontrarás autos, juguetes para tirar de madera, una gran cantidad de pelotas y MÁS. Este contenedor es uno que se visita con frecuencia porque tiene diferentes elementos con los que interactuar.
Estación 4: Rampa + Coches de juguete: coloqué esto en un nivel de niños pequeños y mayores … para que mis dos niños puedan usarlo cuando sea su momento. La rampa y los coches proporcionan entretenimiento, especialmente debido a las diferentes rutas.
Estación 5️⃣: Duplos – AMOR, AMOR, AMOR DUPLOS. Mis dos hijos les encanta usarlos. Mi hijo de 4 años disfruta haciendo casas para sus autos o personajes que encuentra en la caja de juguetes. Mi hija que pronto cumplirá 2 años le encanta pasear con ellos y encontrar lugares para meterlos.
 

❤ Me encanta tener estaciones para mis hijos porque les brinda un espacio para que puedan ir a jugar. Es una perfecta configuración de #invitationtoplay. Estas estaciones son semipermanentes. Los cambio al evaluar el compromiso y el interés de mis hijos.

👩🏻‍🏫Como lo hago ➡️ Yo modelo cada estación para mis hijos. Luego repasamos reglas tales como compartir, mantener los juguetes fuera de nuestra boca (gobierne más para mi más pequeño, pero recordándoles a todos que nos ayudan a todos a vigilarla) y cómo pedir ayuda. Como saben, no se usan todas las estaciones, pero están ahí y eventualmente llegarán a ellas. Trabajar en estaciones requiere tiempo para aprender y mucha práctica.

Mi mayor conclusión de las estaciones es saber que tengo un espacio designado y una configuración para que hagan”. Están trabajando y me tomo un descanso, me sumo a la diversión (lo que normalmente hago) o cumplo mis tareas.
